Niantic Adds New Raid Pokemon, Shortens Raid Times

Pokemon Go developer Niantic just made it a little trickier to battle your favorite raid bosses in the popular mobile game. As a counterbalance, the developer also added plenty of new Pokemon for players to battle in raids—giant meet-ups where multiple players can contribute to a fight simultaneously. We have been focused on pokemon go update for so long and invested heavily. New things often cause a sensation, this product is no exception. If you are obsessed or interested in this field, you just can’t miss this significant info. Just continue reading.

According to ComicBook, an unannounced game update added more than twenty different Pokemon to the game's raid system. Most of the older Pokemon players could battle have been cycled out, and these new raid bosses—which include Charmeleon, Tentacruel, Ninetales, and Golem—are ready to fight players worldwide.

There's speculation that Niantic may cycle these raid Pokemon out of standard spawns in the game, which would make a larger raid battle the only way for players to add them to their collections. It's also unclear just how long this new batch of Pokemon might last before Niantic cycles more contenders in and out, so it's probably wise to start corralling your groups of Pokemon-playing friends to do battle.

When you do, however, know that the amount of time you have to successfully complete a raid battle is now slightly lower. The same update that added more Pokemon to fight has also reduced raid timers from one hour to 45 minutes. We're not sure of Niantic's reasoning on this one, as some locations require a lot more time for enough players to gather to successfully complete one of these mega-fights. Shortening the window players can battle only hurts players' ability to participate—especially in less-popular areas with less-organized means for getting enough trainers battling at specific times.

As long as we are informed of this and have a try, we can quickly grasp this new thing. There is another thing needing to be mentioned. As reported a few days ago, Niantic may also be close to releasing two brand-new legendary Pokemon for players to find and fight. According to Polygon, a player reading through the source code of the game's latest update found rendered models for the Pokemon Ho-Oh and Celebi—both legendary creatures, and both unobtainable in the game as of yet.

We don't know if these Pokemon will appear naturally or whether Niantic is planning to schedule their debut as part of a special promotion or holiday update. We'd guess the latter, so keep your eyes out for an announcement about these two big second-generation creatures—likely sooner than later, given that the assets are already appearing in the game's code.New information of pokemon go update will continue to be released.
